Located just to the north of Berlin, Sachsenhausen was the concentration camp closest to the Nazi capital and became a model of their system of terror. On this tour, the history of the persecution of Jews and the evolution of the Nazi's extensive concentration camp system is analyzed by visiting Tower A, Barrack 38 and the Appellplatz. We discuss the most famous prisoners held in the Gestapo prison and examine the original nature of the camp through photographs and objects preserved in the memorial's exhibitions. Vive Berlin offers this tour on a tip basis because we believe that this is a part of history that should be accessible to everyone. At the end of the tour, you’ll have the opportunity to determine your contribution.
