It'd be all too easy for us to talk about the days of communism in East Berlin but then we wouldn't be doing its history justice! We take you through the former Soviet stronghold's intricate history by starting with the Jewish quarter and visiting the New Synagogue as well as Berlin's biggest artist squat, the Tacheles. You'll see sites integral to the story of East Germany, including the former Stalinallee. Finally, the tour will culminate at the East Side Gallery, an almost mile long stretch of the Berlin wall that still remains and you'll find out why East Berlin is a crucial part to the future of city.
